Cal's Cameras in nearby Costa Mesa had always found the newly released Canon cameras for me before any other local stores in Southern California (without a deposit, etc), and they did this time too with the new 1Ds.

However, before heading down to pick this one up, I did a little online searching, first to see if prices were yet dropping elsewhere from the high retail price.

What I found was one great new store I will do business with again because of their outstanding customer service and the best prices - OneCall.com.

The only other online camera store with such high marks is B&H Photo in New York, but, OneCall.com beat their advertised price on this item.

It's often invaluable to have a local, well-stocked camera store, with professional gear for purchase and rental - like Cal's Cameras.
